Dual Income, No Kids : ウィキペディア英語版
DINK (acronym)

''DINK'' is an acronym that stands for "Dual Income, No Kids". It describes a couple who do not have children. One factor for forming such a couple is when a female rather wants to be a career woman than following the "mommy track".
The term was coined in the 1980s at the height of "yuppie" culture. The Great Recession has solidified this social trend as more couples wait longer to have kids. In the Netherlands, one in five couples choose not to have them at all.〔Wouter van Gils/Gerbert Kraaykamp, ''The Emergence of Dual-Earner Couples. A Longitudinal Study of the Netherlands'', in: ''International Sociology'', Jg. 23, 2008, p. 345-366〕
==Variations==

''DINK'' also exists and is used for "Dual Income, No Kids" in the United States, South Korea, and Japan. ''DINK'' is used in reference to childless couples.〔Cf. Chasin, A., ''Selling Out: The Gay and Lesbian Movement Goes to Market'', New York: Palgrave, 2000; Fejes, F., “Advertising and the Political Economy of Lesbian/Gay Identity”, in E. R. Meehan and E. Riordan (eds.), ''Sex & Money: Feminism and Political Economy in the Media'', Minneapolis: University of Minnesota Press, 2002.〕
''DINKER'' means "Dual (or Double) Income & No Kids Early Retirement". Some marketers have proposed "yappie" as a term to describe similar couples who do have children.
A close antonym, mainly intended as a joke, is ''SITCOM'', which stands for "Single Income, Two Children, Oppressive Mortgage.
